Home/Maximum Eco-Exergy Principle

The maximum eco-exergy principle states that ecosystems will develop towards higher levels of eco-exergy; where ecoexergy simply means the current stocks of available energy. In so doing they will move farther away from thermodynamic equilibrium, evolution can then be understood as a process of selection over a set of ecological elements that will best facilitate this process.
