Home/Dialectic Development

A dialectic process of development implies a division of some whole into parts whereby these parts then compete before being reintegrated through a synthesis. Expressed in everyday language, the idea of the dialectic implies a movement back and forth. The movement goes right, then left, then right again, and so on, but the overall direction is straight ahead. The dialectic is an exchange with one force or phenomenon being counter-acted by another, the result being a dynamic interplay in which a new synthesis of the competing parts is formed resulting in a new combined form of organization.
