Positive interdependence is a type of relationship between social actors where there is a positive correlation among individuals’ goal attainments, meaning that individuals perceive that they can attain their goals if and only if the other individuals with whom they are cooperatively linked attain their goals. Positive interdependencies are zero or positive sum games, meaning the whole pie may get bigger through cooperation.
