Science is a systematic process of enquiry characterised by the use of formal models and empirical data. Science is a process for generating knowledge about the world through the amassing of observed data, the formulation of models to describe that data in a logically consistent form and the testing of those models against future samples of data to see how well they can match the phenomena under their discretion, if proven effective those models are accepted by the scientific community and used as the basis for future enquiry.
