The term virtuous circle refers to a chain of events which reinforce themselves through a positive feedback loop creating some favorable outcome. Virtuous circles - or virtuous cycles - involve a set of self-perpetuating events driven by positive feedback loops in which each iteration of the cycle reinforces the previous one. These cycles will continue in the direction of their momentum until an external factor intervenes and breaks the cycle. The results of a virtuous cycle are extreme often being referred to as “super” or “hyper-” such as hypergrowth.
